Exercise 3.2 Eighth-Note Playing — Half-Beat Calibration
8 bass Bs per bar (eighth notes), following the metronome to even out every half beat
Tempo: 50-70 BPM
💡 An eighth note is a half beat: two Bs per beat. At 60 BPM each beat lasts 1 second and the two Bs are 0.5s apart. Start slow, and the key is perfect evenness between the two notes — chant "ta-ta-ta-ta" to help.
B=bass (below center) · S=slap (upper corner) · s=ghost (light touch) · ·=rest (hand hovering above)
